Before this nice project of mine, I maintained just 2 blogs. Right now, I am about to maintain a network of in total 6 blogs (am I raising the bar too high?). As it seems totally nonsense to do this by logging in into each account and then working per blog, I did some research on different desktop blogging clients.

Where there are many blogging clients with different purposes, both free and commercial, I think I will go for what appears to be the best: ECTO (ecto website). While reading what some of the top-bloggers (hey, we all have our role-models) use and suggest, it seems that ecto is quite widely used on the top-level. read some user-feedback at VersionTracker

Something else: The fellow-countryman, Adriaan Tijsseling, who developed this program together with Alex Hung, has developed a program-website that, i.m.h.o., really convinces its visitor/reader that what it is promoting is really solid and good. No nonsense, no irrelevant hussle, just what it is, clearly stated. For quality like this I am quite easy in “donating”, even if it was just to show respect to the programmer.

So… I will start with the 21-day trial version for Mac and see how much I like it. I think that spending the required US$ 17.95 will follow shortly after. =)
