Interesting article with some news that could be seen as both positive and negative (depending your position in the Blogosphere…).

According to Gartner Company, even if new members start the thousands of weblogs every day, twice that number are predicted to shelve their old blogs.

“A lot of people have been in and out of this thing,” analyst Daryl Plummer told BBC. “Everyone thinks they have something to say, until they`re put on stage and asked to say it.”

I read this as a sign that in the end, the quality of blogs will level out, as long as the neglected blogs get erased… The amount of sleeping and dead blogs is tremendous at this moment, and a real pain in the neck for those looking for content.
