Mind-drifting…

After some brainstorming and looking at different examples [problogger.net, performancing.com, Joel Comm, Steve Pavlina and many others...] I decided to give it a shot: Starting up a small network of weblogs with 1 purpose; generating a second flow of cash next to the one generated by my ordinary job.

Keeping in my to target different groups of visitors I selected 4 domains to develop:

  1. curlysoul.com [soulmusic and everything related]
  2. worldjuices.com [everything on juices, pulps, concentrates and healthy drinks]
  3. wififeeds.com [latest on developments in the world of wi-fi]
  4. halftrue.com [latest on wellness and well-being]

verseeing mothersite is iPears.com. The name is a free anglicisation of my last name, but also refers to the fact that this site and the other ones in the network are the ears of the internet…

For the 4 sites I develop an adapted theme for WordPress, with easy implementation of Google\’s Adsense and Chitika\’s Minimalls, built with in mind Google\’s Adsense heatmap.
Concerning the content I first was looking for a way to almost automatically post… so not manually. This is absolutely no use, the bunch of crap you will get needs way too much attention and it simply is not genuine. Besides, I see no reason to run a blog on a topic that I myself cannot grasp or that is beyond my knowledge. Yes, there will be a lot of quoting and referrals, but the whole selection method of content and other writing is done by 1 person. 1 to serve them all… ;)

Curlysoul and WorldJuices were already developed by yours truly and generate at this moment a very small amount; about US$ x,- per week… so there are goals to be set.

This site (iPears.com) will get the first attention, think that a strong mother-site with a good attitude will provide some extra character.
