In my effort to live a bit more efficiently, I started by simply expanding my knowledge on GTD by reading different books on this topic.
Objective of GTD for me
Most important reason for me to get to learn GTD is a lack of time for further development of knowledge, skills and networking.
There are administrative and repetitive things in my dayjob that I know can be automized or even outsourced. Yet I am in a 2-men company (where my father is not the tech-guy) and automization and development of “new” tools that can help me out is something that I have to do myself. Actually, it is already the step before the actual development that asks time that is very scarce: Research on what solutions would be suitable for optimizing my workflow.
So, knowing that outsourcing is a big answer and that optimizing current workflows is another, digging into “Getting Things Done” and a book like “4HWW” seems like a decent first step.
Reading material
Currently in possession and being read:
-

“The Mind Gym” (Mind Gym)
“Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity” (David Allen)
“Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking” (Malcolm Gladwell)
“The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich” (Timothy Ferriss)
Open to Suggestions
Although I think that I have quite some reading material to start with, I am open to suggestions…
If you have any books that you find un-missable in a quest for a more efficient life, please do not hesitate to share them with me in the comments. Thanks in advance.
